QSTP: Quantum Space Technology PAYLOAD

The QSTP project as a part of ROKS aims to develop an EM payload for Quantum Key Distribution based on the laws of quantum mechanics to provide cyber-security which is future proof from decryption attacks. It will be flown on a 6U CubeSat in tandem with the creation of an Optical Ground Station as the receiver to demonstrate successful quantum key creation. The program is solving many problems combining the space and quantum domain such as the miniaturisation of quantum transmitting components, creating new quantum transmitters with higher efficiency and small footprints, developing rapid pulsing lasers, and writing the algorithms for novel time syncing methods as well as for creating secure quantum keys.
